Q1. Why I can't turn off the Player during connecting with PC?
A1. Please refer to "ET300 Operating Notes #2".

Q2.. Download to Internal memory failure?
A2.
  1. Be sure the power is enough for writing mode.
  2. Please check the capacity and polarity of batteries at first
  3. Check the Select button is switched to Internal memory, the LCD should display "In" for sure.
  4. Check the connection between the Player and PC.
  5. Re-format the Internal memory with ET300 Manager and download again.
  6. Send to repair if still failure.

Q3. Download to External memory card failure?
A3.
  1. Please refer to "ET300 Operation Notes #7" at first.
  2. Check the Select button is switched to External memory, the LCD should display "EX" for sure.
  3. Check the connection between Player and PC.
  4. Re-format the External memory card with ET300 Manager.
  5. Try other External memory card or re-plug the card again.
  6. Send to repair if still failure.

Q4.Why the ET300 Manager window didn't show-up sometimes?

Playback

Q1. Why files can not be transferred or played back on the unit?
A1. 
These files may be corrupted. You have to initialize the internal memory by doing the following procedure:

1) Make sure that the power is in "OFF" position.

2) Press and hold the EQ and ERASE buttons then press and hold PLAY button at the same time for 5 seconds after the display screen showing "INIT". This means that the memory has been initialized. You now should be able to transfer MP3 files into the unit and then play it.

Q2. Why the LCD always display 48 KBPS?
A2. It's normal while the content is encoded with VBR (Variable Bit Rate) or CBR     
      (Constant Bit Rate) 48KBPS.

Q3.  Why distortion come out during playback?
A3. It caused by low battery or temporary interrupt from outsides. Or, the content was  bad encoded.

Q4. Playback quality is bad?
A4.Please playback the same content on PC. Download again if it playback well with PC. If the problem is still there, please re-format the memory with ET300 Manager to clear the memory and try to download again. Or, it maybe caused by bad encoded or the source is bad quality either. Please close any temporary programs before encoding to attend good quality result.

Q5. 
The buttons are not functioning

Check if Hold switch is down. 

While the Hold switch is down, the buttons will not be worked.

Q6. Hear nothing after press Play button?
A6. 

  1. Please check the Hold switch is on or off. It should be off.

  2. Check that files have been stored in the built-in flash memory or SmartMedia Card. Press the Select button to the right memory and press the Play button to try again.

  3. Check the earphone connecting or replace with a new one.

  4. Please send to repair if still failure.

Q7. LCD is blank but earphone output well?
A7. Please send to repair. The LCD is defect.

Q8.The file on the SmartMedia Card is not being recognized
A8.Files stored on a SmartMedia Card by a MP3 player other than ET300 cannot be used is because of the data format is incompatible. Please connect the Player and PC and run the ET300 Manager to initialize the SmartMedia Card and copy the files again. (Please refer to "ET300 Operating Notes #7")
